Hello everyone, hope life finds you well! I’m here to say that “You’re a BADASS”! Yes, YOU! – You’re a BADASS! – I mean that in the most positive way.
I’ve been in your shoes, I understand everything it took to come to realize that you need help to overcome your next goal. Whether it is to become healthier, find strength to stay positive during your day, and/or the ability to get in shape. I know many of you will be able to compare or come real close to what I am talking about; I was struggling to find my strength every morning, caffeine was not cutting it anymore. With the help of others and the internet I found my answers and I want to lend my hand to help you along your journey.
Have you lacked motivation to make the trip to the gym? You’re gym bag is ready to go however, you are not? Don’t worry I understand I have been there numerous of times. To be honest, I was afraid to go to the gym because of the hard stares from those who knew exactly what they are doing with the equipment and those people who are content with the way they look. So I decided to start my journey at home and you can too!
However, there are two ways you can accomplish your health goal: 1. You can workout at home just like I did with my friend.(Explained below) 2. Or you can finally pick up the bag that has been sitting beside your door for the past couple of days collecting dust and head over to the gym.
You need to make that decision on your own. No one can make that decision, but YOU! When the time is right and make your decision there is one thing I want you to do. Take a piece of paper or if you are like me use your mirror and write this down…. “I am a BADASS! Tomorrow is the day! No Excuses!” If you want to add more go ahead, do what motivates you to get up and make it happen.
WORKOUT AT HOME – EVERYTHING you need for your transformation If you do not know where to begin these workout videos are very helpful.
My friend and I gather at 7pm every night for an hour to workout. However, we did not begin working out together right away. She was a few weeks into the workout before she invited me to join. Her friend had recommended it to her. Then, a few weeks later we met up for dinner and I applaud her for the transformation in her short period of time working out. Anyways, it did not take me long before I joined her. To be quite honest the first weeks were difficult. I kept looking for excuses and then I thought of all the unhealthy things I’ve eaten and how long its been since I worked out. Slowly, those excuses disappeared. One advice I’d like to share (and I know it might be silly but it works) is if you decide to workout at home make sure to set an alarm clock for the first two weeks to get your body trained to know it’s time for a workout. I even put a note on my alarm displaying this, “Time to crush it!” – motivated me every time.
WORKOUT AT THE GYM – Make sure when choosing a gym to read reviews.
Somethings I look for when doing my research on gyms are: what other women have to say about the location, small things that accommodates my preferences; one on one or group classes, tanning booth, and a sauna. (May not be included in monthly gym membership – make sure to ask) I also, read a few reviews men post because a gym that allows too much grunting and slamming of equipment is not for me. A little grunting and slamming is OK and tolerable.
I hope you enjoyed the information.
Don’t forget to check in and let me know what path you decided to take. I’d like to ask for one favor, please provide some feedback. This is my first post & believe there is always room for improvements.
